Boudoir Photo Albums… why get them?!?
Boudoir Photo album is THE gift that lasts and does not get returned back to the store in secrecy. You may think that, what good is a photo album after it’s been seen?
Surprise your partner with a peek of your sassy side and see what fires get ignited!
Boudoir albums serve as an amazing reminder of how beautiful you are, and how lucky your partner is to have you. It is also awesome to look back on after the birth of your first child to serve as a motivation to get rid of that baby weight and get back in shape. How about looking back 20 years down and remind yourself that you still got it!
Designing a photo album is fun! You can either leave it in my trusty hands and totally surprise you when you receive the album. If you are a woman in charge and would like to participate in the planning of you boudoir photo book you are more than welcome to select you favorite photos and let me design the layout of your book.
There are a few different types of book designs, everything from something as small as a pocket accordion style album to large format photo album. When choosing a photo album size and design it is a great idea to select the “layflat” option. Layflat option is totally awesome! It allows you to do 2 page spreads without the typical book divider, you spread will be flawless and lay completely flat, it adds a dramatic effect and really makes those photos pop! I personally think no boudoir album should be created in standard book format.
I would also recommend adding a book case to your album. Cases are typically made of very thick cardboard and finished with fine linen or leather and serves as a protector of your photo book. It is a worth while add on for sure!
Photo books are a beautiful way to really showcase your photos.
What is the difference between custom made photo albums and regular photo books?
Flush mount photo books originated as high-end wedding albums that were custom made by boutique binderies. These ranged in price from several hundred dollars to thousands.
Flush mount differs from regular photo books in having a stronger, tighter, finer, superior core.
Don’t be fooled by flashy covers. Look inside for binding, color, paper, strength, texture …
Press printed books are like magazines. They’re thin, weightless and lack the solid
feeling of a real book. Flush mount books are built like a brick, they feel robust and
their weight carries a crafted feel.
Standard press pages are flimsy and bend out of shape with each opening. Flush mount
are rigid and meant for rigorous use.
Thin pages in press printed books easily wrinkle after light playing from children. Thick flush
mount pages don’t bend so they always retain their shape.
Press print books use the same paper as found in mass produced magazines. Flush mount books
use real silver halide photo paper that comes with a beautiful Lustre finish.
Standard press paper absorbs stains. Our flush mount books have coating that protects
against spills and stains.
Traditional inkjet printing uses a CMYK half toning method. This consists of small dots packed closely together to give the illusion of transitions. Half toning can never faithfully reproduce a photo’s true tones, depths or gradations.
however use a layflat design, which gives stunning panoramic views.
