The thing is, every time I tell myself that today is the day I’m going to get up early and achieve that perfect wave, inertia kicks in and I find myself returning to my tried and true ballerina bun. It’s hard to even muster up the courage in those groggy mornings to apply eyeliner, let alone get out the hair tool. Step-by-step instructions:

The key to achieving the perfect wave lies in varying how tight you wrap strands around the iron and leaving the ends away from the barrel in order to elongate the overall style.
